पानी के साथ किया जाय। अच्छा होगा, उक्त ऐक्ट की एक झाँकी स्वयं भी ले लें―
“l.It is hereby enacted that from the first day of December 1837, it shall be lawful for the Governor General of India in Council, by an Order in Council, to dispense either generally, or within such local limits as may to him seem meet, with any provision of any Regulation of the Bengal Code, which enjoins the use of the Persian language in any judicial proceeding or in any proceeding relating to the Ravenue, and to prescribe the language and character to be used in such proceedings.
ll. And it is hereby enacted, that from the said day it shall be lawful for the said Governor-General of India in Council, by an order in Councii, to delegate all or any of the powers given to him by this Act, to any subordinate authority, under such restrictions as may to the said Goveror-General of India in Council seem meet.” (Act No. XXIX of 1837.
