साधारणीकरण और व्यक्ति-वैचित्र्यवाद
चलते दिखाई पड़ने लगे। समालोचना भी अधिकतर हवाई ढंग की होने लगी*[१]।
योरप में इधर पचास वर्ष के भीतर 'रहस्यवाद', 'कलावाद' 'व्यक्तिवाद' इत्यादि जो अनेक 'वाद' चले थे वे अब वहाँ मरे हुए आन्दोलन समझे जाते हैं। इन नाना 'वादों' से ऊबकर लोग अब फिर साफ़ हवा में आना चाहते हैं। किसी कविता के सम्बन्ध में किसी 'वाद' का नाम लेना अब फ़ैशन के ख़िलाफ़ माना जाने लगा है। अब कोई वादी समझे जाने में कवि अपना मान नहीं समझते†[२]।
