Note: The simple explanation of the Doha is that Kabir wants us to meditate on God in the processes of inhalation and exhalation, having at the same time obtained the presence of God (or the Guru). There is as much difference between medi- tation on God without his presence and meditation on God in his presence as between a barren woman and a woman with a child. - The Radhasoami Panth sees in this Doha a prophetic anouncement by Kabir of the coming of Radhasoami, the first teacher of the Pauth. The word is not Radhaswami but Radhasoami and hence there is no connection of the word with Krishna. Nevertheless, it has to be remembered that the founder of the sect and his wife dressed themselves up as Krishna and Radha in order to receive the worship from their disciples. It has been suggested as by Dr. J. D Sharma that the word has been put first in the expression either for a chivalrous purpose or to show that it is the current which is known first and the soami or the source last, even though the soami may be the first to exist and Radha last.
