Note 11 7 This poem is reported to be a reply of तुलसीदास to मीराबाई | महतारी - ( From Sk. माता ) - Mother Contrast Marathi where it means an old woman in general. Also म्हातारा, an old man, which form is not used in Hindi. नाह | = नाथ | cf. ' नरनाह ' । ( Another reading is कंत ). नातो नेह राम के मनियत - राम के स्नेह से नाता मानते हैं तहाँ लौं We have preferred this reading to जहाँ लीं. - In the case of the latter सुहृद and ससेव्य become the antecedent and नेह से नाता मानना becomes the consequent. This does not give good meaning. If we adopt the reading तहाँ लो, राम के नेह से नाता मानना becomes the antecedent and सुहृद aud सुसेव्य become the consequent.
