And this, indeed, would seem to be the truth, if the Report that it contains many Kshepakas or interpolations, should be true (see Report 1900 page 3, 1901, page 2) In this connection, however, one point may be worth noting In the Rajapur manuscripts व and य, when they signify va and ya (as distinguished from ba and ja) are invariably marked by subscribed dot, thus on the upper page second line नय़न Nayana, fifth line भय़ेउ Bhayeu and second line अव़धि Avadhi, on the lower page, first and the third lines प्रिय़ Priya and seventh line अवऩि Avani In the Ajodhya munuscripts, it is only va which is so marked; e.g, upper page, third line जीव़न jivana, sixth line गाव़ह gavaha, ninth line, संव़त samvat, but second line भयेउ bhayau without a dot. It would be desirable to have larger portions of the two manuscripts in facsimile to compare.
