भेजा और कीस कालेज के प्रिंसपल को अपना प्रतिनिधि बनाकर उत्सव में सम्मिलित होने तथा सभा को बधाई देने के लिये आदेश दिया। गवर्मेट का तार यह था–
"Gorernor acting with his munsters congratu- lates Rai Sahib Shyam Sundar Das on the success- ful compilation of Hindi Dictionary and deputes Prinapal Sanjiva Rao & Gorernment's representa- tive to participate in the celebration in the Sabha of the achierement."
इसके अतिरिकनिम्नलिखित संस्थाओं तथा व्यक्तियों ने बधाई के पत्र और मेजे–
(१) वंगाल की एशियाटिक सोसाइटी–
"On behalf of the Asiatic Society of Bengal and of myself I wish to send my hearty congratu- lation at the occasion of the successful completion of the fine work of learning by which your Sabha and all those concerned in the work have laid India under a debt of odligation, and to 'add an expression of great admiration and appreciation of the devoted and crudite labours of the Pandits actually respon- sible for the compilation of this treasury of Indian Lexicography which constitutes an enduring monument to their industry, scholar- ship and devoted service to their motherland."
