DEFINITION OF POETRY:| (1) काव्य प्रकाश-दोष रहित, गुण सहित और अलंकृत कभी कभी अनलंकृत भी शब्द तथा अर्थ को काव्य कहते हैं। Definition defective:-A simply restricts a Kavya but does not take away the essence of it. There are many verses which are reckoned as a good poetry e.g. न्यक्कारो ह्ययमेव etc. which is admitted by the author of the definition himself to be a good Kavya on account of saf but has faults.
