कन्या-दान हैं । इससे अधिक यूरप के गृहस्थ-जीवन की अशान्ति का और क्या सबूत हो सकता है On one side the suppragist movement is to my mind the open condemnation of the moral degneration of men who have forgotten that they have to take the inspiration of their life and its activities from the hearts of the mother, the sister, the wife and the daughter, and have to borrow all their nobleness from the divine womanhood and on the other side, it is the pain- ful evidence of the extinction of the realisation of the ideal of Kanyadan-thence-blest of all arts by which she could rule over the hearts of men and she, the queen of the Home, was if so fact the Queen of the Empires of man, real dictator of laws and the Presiding Deity of nations. ६-स्त्रियों को मताधिकार दिलाने का यह आन्दोलन मेरे विचार से एक ओर उन मनुष्यों के नैतिक पतन की खुली भर्त्सना है जो यह भूल गये हैं कि उन्हें अपने जीवन तथा कार्यों में अपनी माँ, बहिन, पत्नी तथा बेटी से प्रेरणा ग्रहण करनी होगी और नैसर्गिक नारीत्व से ही अपनी सारी उच्चता प्राप्त करनी होगी, दूसरी ओर यह कन्या-दान के उस अादर्श के लोप की अनुभूति का दुःखद उदाहरण है जो समस्त कलाओं में उच्चतम है-वह कला जिसके सहारे नारी मनुष्यों के हृदयों पर राज्य करती है और वह सत्यमेव घर की रानी, मानव साम्राज्य की सम्राज्ञी, सच्ची नियामिका और राष्ट्रों की सच्ची भाग्य- विधायिका बन सकती है
