"बड़ा ही गंभीर उत्तरदायित्व है, परंतु इस पार्थिव संसार में मनुष्यों को ईश्वर द्वारा प्राप्त जितनी उच्च और आनंददायिनी अवस्थाएँ हैं, उन सबमें जिसके द्वारा दो अनुरक्त आत्माएँ एक हो जाती हैं, वह वैवाहिक अवस्था ही सबसे बढ़कर है। हमारी सत्ता की संपूर्ण आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति विवाह के द्वारा ही होती है । यदि समझ-बूझकर और विश्वास-पूर्वक विवाह-बंधन से लाभ उठाया जाय, तो इस संसार में मरणशील मनुष्यों को अधिक-से-अधिक जितना आनंद मिल सकता है, वह इसी से प्राप्त हो सकता है। पति,transmitting himself, that life may remain when he is gone.
